I made this card a while ago. I was originally thinking I would make this for a nephew with a birthday in February. However once I got it put together, I decided my 4 year old nephew would appreciate it more than a 13 year old. The elephant was cut with the Animal Kingdom cartridge, and the sentiment was cut with the Hello Kitty Greetings cartridge. The card background is a single sheet of paper from the Stack 6 by DCWV.
You pull on the elephant head and a square pops up the spotted paper is from the Safari stack by DCWV.
Pull one more time and another tab opens. The paper is again from the safari stack. These tab cards are easy to make, and this one was only slightly more complicated with two tabs. You can find instructions for the pull tabs on a previous Interactive Cards post. I did not take pictures while I was building the card. (Do you get so busy making something you forget to stop and think about what you are trying to do?) The stamps are from the Hero Arts Birthday Messages set.
This is what the card looks like fully extended. I notched the space for the head out of the main card with some scissors, but you can use a punch as well. One tip, is that I made this card from white cardstock and then adhered the decorative elements on top of that. This allowed me to make adjustments to make sure that everything matched when the card was extended.
